SpeedGauge Vice President of Insurance Services Chris Carver was a featured speaker at the American Trucking Associations’ recent 2021 Safety, Security & HR National Conference & Exhibition (SSHR). Chris joined fellow panelists George Thellman of EOX Vantage, Tim Chrulski of Garner Trucking and Harry Storck of Protective Insurance in an informative discussion about the impact of technology on assessing risk and the importance of measuring and benchmarking driving behavior.
As Chris Carver notes, “The only way to tell if you’re good or just lucky is to benchmark your fleet and drivers separately. By using speed as an indicator and focusing on coaching drivers at risk, trucking companies will have a greater chance of successfully achieving overall operational goals and will add tremendous value to their safety and risk management programs.”
